The book up for review is “Davey the Detective (A Bird Brain Book) by Emlyn Chand. This book is geared for children age But it can for anyone who loves to smile. The main character is Davey who is a young birdie. As he is flying one day he finds a special silver object, a treasure. Inspired by the torn pages of a Sherlock Holmes story that were used to fashion his nest, Davey calls on the help of Sarah the sparrow to investigate the mystery and, hopefully, retrieve his prize. Together the two birds begin to collect clues. Davey the Detective is the second book in the Bird Brain Books. This is a well thought out story that teaches lessons about things such as not jumping to conclusions and friendship. The story is written with year olds in mind but your middle agers will love reading this story and sharing it with their younger siblings.
